We have a magnificent willow tree in our yard. It's large girth speaks to its longevity and durability. A few summers ago a severe thunderstorm rolled through. Winds were so strong that they tossed around a 1 ton steel tank we had behind a shed - we were away, so I don't know if it was tornadic, bit it was obviously nasty. At any rate, that storm took out about a third of the willow tree. We cleaned up the mess, and the tree easily survived. Over the next couple of seasons the tree filled in the gaping hole, and today you can hardly tell there was any damage. There's a couple of trading lessons in this story, not to mention life lessons. I'll let you figure them out.
